GLCSL ByLaws Rule # 4, Section # 8, Subsection 8: To the greatest extent possible, all referees shall be USSF certified. USSF certified referees shall be given preference over non-certified officials. If non-certified referees are used in a U14 or older match then a report must be filed with the league president. This notification shall be by email within 24 hours of the contest being played and a written report submitted at the next league meeting. |

MSYSA & MRC Update Fall 2010: The Michigan State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) is implementing new software for player registration, scheduling, and risk management checks for coaches, team administrators, and referees. The Michigan Referee Committee (MRC) requires ALL USSF Michigan referees, regardless of whether they officiate adult or youth matches, to have a risk management approval if they are 18 years of age or older. |

Referees - Here’s what is important for 2010 fall assigning: Referees must provide proof of USSF certification, and verify the expiration date of your most current certification year Referees 18 years of age and older must provide proof of Risk Management certification (as required to take USSF Referee re-cert classes) (Note – if you are USSF certified but not current in 2010, you may still be able to receive assigned games; please see information below for limitations)

For fall assigning we would request copies of the above cards forwarded via email or fax; you may also provide this information in text form via email however you will need to present card copies on game day of your first seasonal assigned game.
